Its so crazy how one day you can see someone fine then i few days later they die. life can come and go any given day. life doesnt wait for anything. when its time, its time. its out of our control.
Today i heard from some of my close friends that a 14yr old kid named Marlon that i just met at a Christmas eve party passed away from diabetic shock. i never met the kid until that day. granted he only came to the party for only a few mins while i was there, but those few secs that i said hello put an impact on my life. i can remember the look on his face while i reached for his hand. i never knew that would have been the last i see him. i wish i could predict the future so that i would warn him. it so sad to hear a young kid die of something that he had no control over. i just hope and pray that his whole family and friends can find a way to get threw this very difficult time.

i think im starting to like my job. yes it has its ups and downs but when u enjoy waking up every morning in a career that you like, life seems good..today i was suppose to go finish up my christmas shopping after work but as soon as i started washing up and changing my cloths, a guy from another school bus company came in and begged us to fix his big school bus cause it just got into an accident and the rear was driving all twisted. this happend cause wat ever he hit broke the leaf spring and popped a tire. so since we knew wat it was i agreed and that was that. another day another 100 bux.

For those of you that dont kno, im a school bus mechanic. life in this field can be very interesting. it can physically and emotionally hurt you. ive been in this automotive field for about 6 yrs already. im not saying i kno everything but im not new to this. so at this point in my life im wondering is this for me? i feel it in my heart cuz this is all i think about and for the ppl that kno me, kno how much i like fixing things. i guess the reason why im questioning myself is cuz of the verbal arguments ive been getting into recently. is it me?
basically the last arguement that got me worried at the moment is the one i got into with my shop manager on friday. it was over 2 hrs worth of money the company owed me from last week. prior to friday he was like that i would get it in cash with my regular friday check. so when i went to pick up my check on that day i didnt get my money. so i went to ask him and he just snapped and was like here ( he started taking out money out his pocket and put it on the table) take the money, go wash ur hands and go home. mind u it was 4 hrs b4 i had to leave. so i was like are u serious? he was like that im talkin back to him.. really? how you figure when we are having a conversation.. cuz last time i checked ur not my father nor god so..? so since he was tight i went to the other boss and told him wat happend and he was like that he’s getting 2 stories now. so when i told him he was all confused cuz my shop manager isnt suppose to pay me any money out his pocket so if thats the case why didnt he give me my money last week when i was suppose to receive it? that means they playing with my money.but wats done is done wats said is said. so he paid me for the rest of the day and sent me home.
the hardest part about working here is that i got my car project in effect at the shop. so if they fire me that mean no car for me. so basically im in a tuff situation where i cant really argue or say fuk you im outta here as i would like cuz i need the shop more then they need me at the moment. but anyways so basically my plans for the weekend was to start my engine build and maybe get my other camry running. but all this tension froze my plans up. so i came back today (monday) not knowing wat they was goin to do to me cuz this isnt like other jobs where they give u 2 weeks notice. Nahh, theyll fire u on the spot. so i was nervous not knowing wat would happen. so i go to my tool box and see a list of work to do which was more than average. so seeing that alone got me thinkin o man they tryin to work me till i quit. so w/e i went on about mine without saying anything to the shop manager. later on the day we end up bumping heads and went off and said” u kno james ( the office boss that hired me) dont run this shop, i do!”
at this point i was just tired of it and all im worried about is keeping this job till i fix my cars. so to save arguing i just gave in and said ” i kno..im sorry, im sorry” . amazingly those 6 words killed our beef. we went about the day with a lil more respect for each other. then he looks at my list of things to do and says i dont got to do everything cuz the this isn’t important. lol
so i go about my day to fix buses. while i start using some of my tools i start noticing one of my air tools was missing. mind u i was already missing 2 other tools from last week that i just thought i must of left somewhere. but since it still hasnt turned up and now another one is missing, im like either someone is fukin wit me or they stealing my shit! so i let my shop manager kno and he was like u must of left it somewhere. so another co-worker let me borrow the tool needed for the mean time to finish wat i gotta do. later on i needed one of my air ratchet tools and noticing thats missing also. so im like ok ok. someone stealing my shit. i tell my shop manager and he starts gettin tight but in my defense and starting goin thru SOME of the mechanic tool boxes and moves things around but nothing turns up. he’s so mad at this point that someone is stealing my tools he gives me some of his tools that is worth over $300 when mine is only worth like a $100 and promises me more tomorrow and that when we find that person they gonna throw him out the shop.
but anyways even tho i very rarely ever say sorry, and it hurt for me to admit i was wrong to him when i really wasnt. i would have to say it was worth it .
